1988 Tivoli Gardens by Peter Bysted - Original Vintage poster

Every year Tivoli Gardens (or simply Tivoli) lets a Danish artist design the poster art for the coming season.

The art for the poster of 1988 was created by Peter Bysted and visualizes two white doves flying together. The dove on top has the colorful pattern of Harlequin's suit - a figure who is widely connected to the Tivoli Gardens. In the back of the doves is (what I believe to be) a map of Tivoli with all its lights glowing up the park at night.

Tivoli Gardens was founded in 1843 and is located in Copenhagen, Denmark and is one of the oldest and most famous amusement parks in the world. The gardens try to stay true to the magic of the past and is try to differ from the conventional amusement parks by stating that they have nothing made out of plastic.
