1970s Tivoli Gardens by Ib Antoni (small version) - Original Vintage Poster

A very charming poster with great atmosphere! This Tivoli poster displays a cute bird couple on a date at dusk in the light of a charming old Tivoli lamp. The poster was made to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Tivoli Gardens.

This Tivoli poster is made by the world famous artist Ib Antoni (1929-1973) who created over 300 posters in his career among his designs is several Tivoli Gardens, Visit Denmark and Wonderful Copenhagen posters. Birds and flowers was some of Antoni's favorite motifs and I guess this is why he choose the birds decorated with a flower and a hat. Other versions of the poster exists such as with no text and in smaller format.

Tivoli Gardens is one of the world's most famous amusement parks based. The garden was founded in 1843 which makes it is the second oldest amusement park in the world and is by far the most visited spot in Scandinavia.
