Here is a different and divine advertisement created by the grand master of surrealism, the Spanish artist Salvador Dalí.

This poster encourages people to travel with SNCF to Roussillon near the Pyrenees in southern France. The region of Roussillon is know for its varied landscape with mountain ranges and vast steppes which portrayed here on this beautiful poster.

Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) was a Spanish painter and is preferably known for his surrealist paintings and sculptures. His arts is represented in many famous museums all over the world and he even has his own museum (in which he is also burried) in Figueres, Spain (where he was born).

This poster is one of six which Dalí made for SNCF. Each poster represents a different destination in France such as Paris, The Alps, Normandy, Roussillon, Alsace and Auvergne. On the bottom of the poster "Chemins de Fer Français" - meaning the French National Railways and stresses out what the advertisement is all about.

Please note: Salvador Dalí made the poster in 1969 but the poster was first publish in 1970.
