When World War II roamed different countries where struggling to win the war, there was another war which was as important as the one fought on the frontline..

This poster was made to encourage American citizens to purchase war stamps, and featuring art of several aircraft leaving the deck of an aircraft carrier or "the mystery ship" as it was know as.

Back in 1917 and 1918, the United States government issued "liberty bonds" to raise money for its involvement in World War I. The loans was particularly subscribed to citizens but also interest groups (such as banks and investors) with interest to financially support the Allied war effort.

When the outcome of the war was clear the name was changed to "victory liberty loans". The loans was also used in World War II as "war bonds" and many great posters (like this one) was made to encourage people to support the war effort.
