A really nice cardboard advertisement displaying a scene from the ancient Egypt. The lady in the chariot is possibly queen Nefertiti setting out on a journey from her palace escorted by her subjects.

The advertisement was made for the famous German tobacco company Crüwell ("Gebrüder Crüwell" in German). The factory was founded in 1705 by Johann Georg Crüwell as one of the first tobacco houses in Europe and quickly became successful the German tobacco market. The production of tobacco ended in 1983 due to a increasing use of cigarettes in Germany. Today you can find symbolic souvenir shop and exhibition house in Bielefeld, Northwest Germany, where the company was founded.

Please note: the cardboard sign has a "foot" on back so it can be placed on table or such. Please have a look at the picture.
